The Children’s Advocacy Center seeks an Executive Director to lead our mission of serving child victims of abuse and their families through a coordinated, compassionate, multidisciplinary response. Job Description

Executive Director

Position Title: Executive Director

Purpose:  To lead the Children’s Advocacy Center in a manner that ensures effectiveness and sustainability, keeps its performance true to its mission and vision, and assists the Board of Directors in planning for future development.

Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in a relevant field preferred with at least five years successful non-profit senior management skills and experience necessary to conduct the financial, personnel and administrative duties of the Center.

Requirements:  Demonstrated professional training and experience regarding the issues of child sexual and physical abuse.  Exhibited development and grant writing abilities.  Ability to establish and maintain favorable working relationships with a variety of constituencies.  Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills as well as facilitation and mediation skills and the effective use of technology in doing so.   Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and delegate effectively.

Possesses require child abuse clearances.

Supervision: The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors.

Position Description:

  1. Supports and strengthens the Board of Directors in governing the organization. 
  2. Oversees the financial and administrative operations of the Center. 
  3. Leads resource development, marketing, and public relations to sustain the Center and project a positive image. 
  4. Builds interagency partnerships and provides leadership within the community.
     
  5. Provides strategic leadership and vision for the Center. 
  6. Recruits, develops, and retains a qualified and engaged workforce. 
  7. Promotes professional knowledge and community awareness through education and training. 
  8. Assures high-quality program and service delivery. 
  9. Champions best practices and models the Center’s mission, vision, and values.
